Susan Anderson: was born in Pensacola, Florida, graduated from Pensacola Catholic High in 1982 and graduated from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in journalism in 1986. She graduated from the University of West Florida in 2002 with a Master of Arts degree in English.
Susan travelled extensively overseas with her family, debuted locally and internationally and served as Queen of the Fiesta of Five Flags in 1984. Yet Susan, like her grandfather, wanted to work in law enforcement. As a small-town cop for the City of Milton, Susan found the unique joy in helping and protecting her community, but her other passion, writing, drew her back to school for more studies. Cold Case in Ellyson is that intersection of her work as a cop colliding with her love of writing. Her book, a Southern work of literary fiction, won the 2010 Eric Hoffer Book Award for Commercial Fiction http://www.hofferaward.com/HAbookwinners.html.
